FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Questions people ask before a first call. If yours is not here, the consultation is the place to ask it.
Who do you work with?
Adults and older adults individually, and couples. Many of the people I see are in demanding careers and arrive with burnout, anxiety, a transition, or a relationship that has become difficult.
Do you offer individual and couples therapy?
Yes. I offer weekly individual therapy and couples therapy, with the format and focus shaped around what brings you in.
Do you meet in person, virtually, or both?
Both. In-person sessions are available in the Financial District and Williamsburg, with virtual sessions across New York.
Where are your offices?
I see clients in the Financial District in Manhattan and in Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Exact arrival details are shared directly with clients.
Can you see virtual clients anywhere in New York?
Yes. Virtual sessions are available to clients who are located anywhere in New York State at the time of the session.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish?
Yes. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.
What happens during the consultation?
The consultation is a brief, low-pressure conversation about what brings you to therapy and whether working together may feel like a fit.
What can I expect in the first sessions?
We start with why now and talk about your history only as far as it is useful. You do not have to tell your whole story at once. The pace and focus are shaped together.
How do I know whether we are a good fit?
That is what the consultation is for. We can talk about what brings you in, what you hope will feel different, and any questions you have about how I work.
What should I do in an emergency?
This practice does not provide emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For emotional or suicidal crisis support in the U.S., call or text 988.
A first step
A short conversation can help us see if it feels like a fit.
Fifteen minutes, no cost, no obligation. We talk about what brings you here and whether working together makes sense—and if someone else would be the better fit, I will say so.
